The Butcher’s Table Case Study
FROM FOOD POSTS TO A COMMUNITY: THE BUTCHER’S TABLE CASE STUDY
The Butcher’s Table had great products to show. We saw an opportunity to give people more reasons to follow, engage and come back.
The Hype shifted its content towards the expertise behind the counter: practical butcher tips, helpful food advice and the people who make the business what it is. The approach helped The Butcher’s Table go viral time and again, with its most viewed Reel reaching 800,000 views and its Instagram following growing 40% in three months.
Industry: Food and retail
Location: NSW & QLD
Focus: Social media strategy, content creation and Reels
Platform: Instagram
THE CHALLENGE
The Butcher’s Table was sharing content focused mainly on food and products. While that showed what was available, it left a bigger story untold.
Customers could also learn from the butchers: which cuts to choose, how to prepare them and how to get the best result at home. Bringing that knowledge into the content would give people a reason to follow the account even when they weren’t ready to buy.
Our goal was to turn the page into a place where people could discover useful advice, get to know the team and feel part of The Butcher’s Table community.
OUR STRATEGY
CONTENT THAT GIVES PEOPLE VALUE
We built an educational content approach around the questions customers ask butchers every day.
Instead of only showing a finished meal or a cut of meat, we created content that helped people make better choices and feel more confident cooking at home. Butcher tips gave followers something useful to watch, save and share.
THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE COUNTER
The team’s knowledge became a central part of the content. Putting the butchers on camera gave the advice a recognisable face and let their personalities come through.
That helped The Butcher’s Table become more than a place to shop. Followers could get familiar with the people behind the business and return to the page for their expertise.
REELS PEOPLE WANTED TO WATCH
We turned practical tips into short, engaging Reels with clear hooks and advice viewers could use. The format made the content easy to discover beyond the account’s existing followers.
The response was consistent: butcher tip content went viral time and again. The most viewed Reel reached 800,000 views.
